Can I learn Spanish just by watching tv?

its possible but very hard depends if you already know enough Spanish try Rosetta stone i learned Russian in 3 months now i”m fluent in it =]

I suppose that you could eventually. It would be hard though. They used to have a television program on pbs that taught you how to speak spanish.

And neither did they.
And you wouldn’t learn proper Spanish, anyway…think about how people speak on American television…would you respect that sort of language from someone who approached you at a sales counter, asking to buy something?

I’m not an actress but I did learn English by watching TV
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with Spanish. I would say you need basic understanding of the language though.
Start by watching shows you’re familiar with, like American shows dubbed in Spanish. Turning the closed captioning on, in Spanish, also helps because you can read the words as you hear them.
All of this will help you *understand* Spanish, but to speak it, you’ll need practice!
