I have a 5 year old and 6 year old and we are planning 2 start learning Spanish this summer. We don’t have any classes in our area so I was wanting 2 order a program or something 2 help us learn. Any suggestions on a good and easy way 2 learn Spanish?

Rossetta Stone I have heard very good feedback about this program
learn spanish
Nothing of that. Rosetta Stone is an horrible method.
There’re some interesting pages in internet to learn it but they’re sometimes wrong and their explanations are not quite good.
If you want… I’m a Spanish teacher from Spain. I can help you giving you lessons and explaations or providing you any stuff. Here you’ve got my mail, if you’re really interested e-mail me.

Excellent free online courses :
Materials for self-study :
(I especially like “Madrigals Magic Key to Spanish” by Margaret Madrigals, with original illustrations by Andy Warhol, “Laugh ‘n’ Learn Spanish” by Lynn Johnston and Brenda Wegmann, based on the popular comic strip “For Better or For Worse”, “The Oxford Spanish Cartoon-strip Vocabulary Builder” by Claire Bretecher and Monica Tamariz, and “The Complete Musical Spanish: Learn Through Pop Music” by Stacey Tipton)
Especially for children :

If money wasn’t an issue for you, one of the best ways to teach Spanish to your 5- and 6-year-olds is to sign up for Spanish courses for children at a Berlitz language school near you. They are very expensive but they’ve been teaching languages around the world 130+ years so they know what they’re doing.
I would also look for Spanish-speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish) day care programs in your area. Hiring a Spanish-speaking nanny isn’t a bad idea at all, either, especially if you (parent) work.
Good luck to you!
