Why is it that USA teachers are being forced to learn SPANISH?

Put yourself in thier shoes. You have kids of immigrant families in your school system. They may be legal immigrants that have simply JUSt arrived and don’t know the language yet. What are you supposed to do? let the kids flounder away not learning anything? research shows that kids who do poorly in school don’t earn as much and if they end up dropping out they are more likely to turn to crime. Saying that they shoudl simply learn english is like Ann Boelin saying “let them eat cake!”.
It doesn’t solve the problem. So you have 2 choices, ignore the problem or do something about it.

Its America learn it or go home. My high school had a bunch of these people and they actually hired teachers that spoke Spanish so they could take all their classes in Spanish. What a waste of money.
For the person above me – Are you going to do the same thing with Chinese, Indians, and all the different Arabs too? Thats a lot of wasted money.

HEL-LOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Are you blind to the fact that the Latinos are the majority in the U.S. right now?!?! YOU, SIR or MA’AM, are ONE prejudiced person!!! Not ALL Latinos are illegals!!! Puerto Ricans are automatically U.S. citizens and have been for 90 years because the island has been a U.S. Commonwealth, EVEN if some of them don’t speak a word of English! There are probably some U.S.-born Latinos who lived here their WHOLE lives who have probably never spoken English a day in their lives and you’re gonna get angry with them?!?!?! C’MON!!! That’s their culture! If they DECIDE that they don’t wanna learn English, that’s FINE! YOUR unwillingness to learn AT LEAST one language other than English shows that you’re NOT an ethically diverse person and PROBABLY **** people of other races and religions! You are no better than they are and NEITHER am I!!! Hell, I bet you were against people in this country learning Ebonics 10 years ago, EVEN if some Whites wanted to know some Ebonics, were you not?!?! This just goes to show you that you are not fond of getting to know more about the Latinos, us African Americans, or any other race, creed, or religion for THAT matter!!!!!
Oh, and BTW, when YOUR ancestors kidnapped OUR ancestors from Africa several hundred years ago and YOUR ancestors were trying to dominate the world by stealing $hit from other countries and raping indigenous people of THEIR land and making money off of it, THEY forced everyone in the world to learn THEIR European languages, INCLUDING THIS language that we’re speaking NOW, which happens to be English!!!! Learning English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Dutch was LITERALLY forced upon OUR and THEIR ancestors to learn, which was wrong as HELL!!!! So, don’t YOU think that was wrong, the way YOUR ancestors forced upon OUR ancestors to learn YOUR European languages because they thought that THEIR languages were a whole bunch of gobbledegook and that they were wrong and ignorant languages?!
Actually the spaniards were the ones who first “stole” your ancestors. even though in reality your ancestors sold them selfs for gold and other items that they had never seen before.
…and if your going to pull the whole reparations crap, that’s wrong too because blacks ARE NOT the only race to have ever been forced into slavery. actually every nation and race have had slaves. EVEN WHITES! so where’s my reparations? that’s just an easy excuse to be lazy.
