It is almost impossible to reach true fluency of any language in that short a time, and it is truly impossible if you aren’t living there.

But a year of very focused, extensive study, with the tools at hand like online blogs, online podcasts, etc., one can make a pretty decent forray into a language in a year if he or she has a good “touch” with languages.

Or, like the rest of us, you can work hard and STILL struggle. heheheh.

but seriously, if you are planning a trip or want a job that uses *some* Spanish on the job, you might well pull it off in a year.

The single biggest thing is to get speaking and listening right away. even if you make all kinds of mistakes. Go to you tube, go to spanish channels, look for Spanish dubs of movies you’ve already seen, etc. The more your ear “hears”, the easier the vocab will be to acquire.

  • Software To Learn Spanish

The best way to learn Spanish is with Michel Thomas, you can use his audio course:

He has taught all kinds of celebrities and has fully broken the language.

You just listen and answer his questions out loud. No homework, no studying,… 8 hours.

Depends on the method you use, really.

I’ve learned Spanish and it’s really an easy language for me. I’ve used multiple methods to see which one works for me.

I think it is possible to reach good level if you practice every day. here’s a tip on how to do that:

Set up a day…for example…say that fro Mon-Fri, from 4-5PM, you are going to study Spanish, without exceptions. The more precise you about the thing you want to do, the greater the chances are you’re going to do it.
