on your own time spanish channels on radio and tv, also subtitle dvd’s to where they are speaking english and subtitled spanish (or vice versa). I do this… I have picked up a little but I cannot make a sentence that isn’t broken spanish.
Learn Spanish Practice
First, buy a good dictionary. It’s important because you’ll want to know the meaning of many new words, and most of the time you won’t be able to ask someone who can speak Spanish. Oxford, Cambridge and Berlitz publish good ones, with a variety of formats and prices. For instance:

Then use a grammar and a phrasebook, they don’t have to be in print, you can find them online. For example:
When you feel fluent enough, start practising. For example, I exercise my English by answering questions in Yahoo! Answers. You can visit Spain, Mexico or Argentina’s answers. If there are native speakers in your area, try talking to them.
