I want to learn Spanish and I think the way to learn how people really speak Spanish (in Puerto Rico) is to listen to their radio (talk and music) and TV shows and movies. Do you think I can learn this way? Do you have any radio sites (online) or anything like that to recommend to me?

*I want to speak Spanish like they do in Puerto Rico and I don’t want to talk like a professor or teacher I want to speak the way normal people do in everyday life.

Easiest Way To Learn Spanish
well, by the time you will understand some phrases, etc, but you still need to understand the basics of the language, which will be taught to you in school. so, basically, listening to spanish radio can work as a GREAT device for you to understand and learn the Spanish better, but the knowledge, you will learn at school is essential.

I couldn’t but you might be able to. Some girls in my high school Spanish classes were able to speak fairly well just out of the book. I even have a husband from Puerto Rico and I still can’t speak fluently!
The way teachers teach IS the “normal” way to speak. Most of them teach Castillano, or the kind of Spanish they speak in Spain. The way Mexicans, speak the language is different than how Cubans speak it than how Puerto Ricans speak it, but it’s all “normal.” In fact, Puerto Ricans tend to drop their word endings when they speak, so it might be more difficult to get what they’re talking about at first because how it’s written and how they speak it look different.

It is a good idea but maybe not enough on it’s own. You can learn a lot this way but when it comes to learning languages understanding (or comprehension) almost always precedes and is stronger than speaking (production).
So take time and listen and enjoy the radio, tv, etc but try to find some Puerto Ricans to speak to as well. Maybe join a club or hang out around Puerto Rican neighbourhoods (depends where you live).
You definitely need the opportunity to practice what you learn!
