Immersing myself in the Spanish community to learn more Spanish?

I have decided to spend the next three months immersing myself in as much Spanish as possible. Striclty listening to Spanish music, watching Spanish televison stations, watching Spanish news, , dining and ordering in Spanish restaurants, reading Spanish news and reading Spanish books. I hope to able to learn enough so that I would be able to build on what I have learned later on. Do you believe that my idea will work. If yes how much Spanish can I expect to speak following the three months.
