My boyfriend is Mexican and I’m trying to learn Spanish. What are some easy ways to do so?

After I moved to Spanish Harlem, NY I felt like I really needed to learn it (since everyone speaks it there) and so I was wondering how I could go about this? I was thinking about moving to the Dominican Republic for a year or two, do you think that would help. Last time I was there I didn’t learn any but you never know.
